Custom 17 fret Tenor Banjo

A Custom built 17 fret Tenor built to our Bluegrass spec, but with an extra deep pot rather than a resonator. A very loud and articulate sounding instrument. A rarity, as we usually make 19 fret tenors.


  • Timber: Quarter-sawn Appalachian rock maple neck and pot 
  • Handmade 4" deep block construction pot

  • 'Old Time' bound solid headstock with Gotoh Japanese 4:1 planetary tuners 
  • Two layer purfling to neck, binding to outer of pot
  • White mother of pearl position markers, custom hand cut snowflake at 12th fret 
  • Maple dowel co-ordinator
  • Unbleached bone hand-cut top nut
  • 12 brackets, nickel plated

  • Tone ring: Bell Bronze Flathead
  • D'Addario EJ63i strings
  • Remo Clear head
  • Hand rubbed OSMO Hard wax oil finish
